Officer Justice Visits Frost Head Start Classrooms

A lot goes on at Community Action Agency. It is always that way. We have a lot of boots on the ground in the work we do in our community. When I get an email telling me it's Police Day or Firefighter Day, I am going to do what I can do to be there if at all possible.   This week it wasn't just Police Day, but Pajama Day too.

Children in the Community Action Agency Fox and Frog classrooms at Frost Elementary were visited by Jackson Police Department's Officer Justice. Yes, it is his real name. I asked. Officer Justice read the story, "There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow!" to the children and then shared some of the duties of the police officers, how they can help their families, showed off the tools and gadgets on his belt and answered questions. There were lots of questions. I even let the children ask some too.  Then the classroom threw on their coats, hats, and gloves and were able to go outside and check out his patrol vehicle. Office Justice turned on the lights and siren. We all had a blast.  Thanks, Officer Justice!  Be sure to come visit us again soon.
